The Rapid Microfluidic Detection Chip developed by ITRI's Medical Electronics and Device Technology Center (MED) is a miniscule chip that can safely, swiftly and accurately conduct 5-minute bio-chemical tests that normally require days to complete. The reagent in the chip is driven by gravity, and its test agents and flow control are determined by its settings. This innovative and environmentally-friendly chip will not only simplify the complex procedures required for disease detection and prevention, but also decrease contamination and waste matter by-products.
